Only in America: Boy Scout employees fired for saving a bald eagle

Two scouts do what they can to save a bald eagle.

Two employees at a Virginia Boy Scout camp were fired for rescuing an injured bald eagle, The Washington Post reports. Eliana Bookbinder and her brother, Jeremy, were told by their boss to leave the bird alone until a game warden arrived the next day, but defied the order because the bird was dying. "Part of Scout law is to be thoughtful and kind," Eliana said. Ignoring the eagle "was neither."
