As ICE raids continue in cities across the United States, many people taken into custody are leaving behind forgotten victims: their pets. These animals are often abandoned when their owners are caught up in raids; others may get left behind when undocumented immigrants choose to self-deport. Though rescuers are working to save these animals, many say it is an uphill battle.
