Prince Harry just broadcast his HIV test live on Facebook

Prince Harry encouraged fellow Brits to get tested for HIV by putting himself in the patient's seat. In what AIDS and HIV charity Terrence Higgins Trust deemed "a groundbreaking moment in the fight against HIV," the Prince of Wales took his own test from a London hospital on Thursday, and broadcast the whole thing on Facebook Live:

Prince Harry tested negative. "Not only does it show his royal highness' genuine and personal commitment to tackling the HIV epidemic, it will amplify a message to millions all over the world: Testing for HIV is easy, quick, and nothing to be feared," said Ian Green, the chief executive of the Terrence Higgins Trust.

Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, also fought to end the stigma around AIDS when she embraced children with AIDS in the 1980s and shook hands with an HIV-positive man, NBC reports.
