Clinton now has the backing of every senator who caucuses with Democrats

While Republicans split over their presumptive presidential nominee, Donald Trump, Democrats are getting in line behind Hillary Clinton. The members of the Democratic caucus in the Senate are universally united behind their pick, CNN's Dan Merica reports:
Sen. Angus King (I-Maine), who is an independent but caucuses with Democrats, was the last holdout, after fellow independent Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.) endorsed Clinton on Tuesday. On Thursday morning, King told CNN's Chris Cuomo that he chose to endorse Clinton after participating in a nuclear emergency exercise with the Air Force, where he realized that sometimes the president must, without the presence of checks and balances, make "a decision about the future of civilization":
"It's a question of judgment and temperament," King said. In the last week, meanwhile, Trump has accused a Supreme Court justice of having failing mental faculties, been heartily praised by white nationalists, and reportedly threatened one of those Republican senators he's supposed to be winning over.
