Stephen Colbert's monologue on Wednesday's Late Show began with a recap of "last night's premiere of So You Think You Can SCOTUS?," the reality show where President Trump handed the robe to Judge Neil Gorsuch — after botching his hosting duties and before giving Gorsuch a very strange handshake. He did not pick Judge Thomas Hardiman, who was tipped to have driven from Pittsburgh for the live broadcast (though the White House says he actually didn't in real life).

"Here's my favorite part: Apparently the Trump administration asked Hardiman to come to Washington to build suspense," Colbert said. "And I just want to say to President Trump, you already have us on the edge of our seats, sir. Please, I don't think we can take any more thrills." He ended by chiding the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show for showing cats this year, saying this is just the type of breakdown in the social order that led to Trump's election. Watch below.
