Here's your first look at Jude Law as Dumbledore in the new Fantastic Beasts trailer

Your first peek at the latest installment in the Harry Potter universe is here: The trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald debuted Tuesday.

First things first, Jude Law arrives as a young Dumbledore just sprouting his soon-to-be iconic beard. He's spotted in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, and there’s a strong chance he's the one using the Deluminator that first appeared in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Core characters from the first Fantastic Beasts also make an appearance, including Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander. Even Muggle sidekick Jacob Kowalski is there, despite losing all his magical memories at the end of the first film.

There are plenty of flashes of magic, plus the iconic sounds of "Hedwig's Theme." There's only a brief shot of Johnny Depp as the dark wizard Grindelwald — though that may not be such a bad thing. See what other gems you can catch in the full trailer below. Kathryn Krawczyk
