Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) took a swing at President Trump in a Thursday tweet, after the president criticized his stance on the Iran nuclear deal.
Trump, using his favorite nickname for Schumer, insinuated that the senator was hypocritical for disagreeing with the president's decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Iran deal earlier this week. "Cryin' Chuck Schumer" voted against the deal in the first place, argued Trump.
Schumer kept it simple in his response. "#BeBest," he wrote, referring to first lady Melania Trump's new platform that hopes to combat cyberbullying. The first lady's focus on anti-bullying has been criticized as ironic, given her husband's penchant for online name-calling, and Schumer apparently has no intention of letting that irony slide.
