Fox News dutifully shared a video of President Trump bashing the press and praising the conservative network during a Friday press conference in England. While speaking with British Prime Minister Theresa May, Trump batted away a question from a CNN reporter: "CNN is fake news," he said, calling on a Fox News reporter next and praising it as "a real network."

Fox News' open attacks on CNN have ramped up in the last week, with Fox also publishing an article about the "old tweets" of a CNN reporter who "used to mock the network." The desperate-seeming hit was criticized by many in the press, with CNN responding: "[W]e encourage staff to share their thoughts about the organization — both positive and critical. While this might seem like an exotic concept to you, we'd headline it 'Media Reporter Does Job.'"
