During a concession speech broadcast live on television, Democratic Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke made the crowd go wild when he thanked his supporters for their hard work and announced he was "so f—ing proud" of them.

The Democrat lost to incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz (R), and shared that he called Cruz, wished him well, and pledged to do whatever is necessary to bring Democrats and Republicans together. "I am as inspired, as hopeful, as I have ever been in my life, and tonight's loss does nothing to diminish the way that I feel about Texas or this country," he said.
