Fox News' Tucker Carlson is positively gleeful over the idea of Trump 'with his boot on the chest of the vanquished'

President Trump's first post-Mueller rally was followed by some very measured analysis over on Fox News, where Tucker Carlson and guest cackled for several minutes while soaking in the image of Trump standing victorious over slaughtered Democratic foes.
Carlson spoke with guest Mark Steyn on Thursday night after a feature-length Trump rally in Michigan, during which the president continued to gloat over Attorney General William Barr's summary of the Mueller report, which said Special Counsel Robert Mueller did not establish coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia. Carlson and Steyn both loved the rally, with Steyn describing it as a "good old-fashioned gloat-fest over your slain enemies" and saying Trump could have even been less "restrained" than he was, per Mediaite.
Carlson, clearly, was picking up what Steyn was putting down, adding, "You can sort of picture him with his boot on the chest of the vanquished and a mug of mead in hand, howling at the night sky." Carlson and Steyn both laughed out loud throughout this segment recalling highlights of the speech, both ultimately agreeing that the president is way funnier than any of the late night talk show hosts. His speeches are great, Steyn also argued, because Trump has developed a "unique rhetorical style," which involves "riffing on the day's news" and "not talking in sentences."
