Avengers: Endgame just can't be stopped.

The Marvel blockbuster is continuing to shatter box office records and on Friday officially became the fifth highest-grossing movie ever made. It has moved up five slots on this global top 10 list just since Tuesday, by which point it had grossed $1.34 billion. By Friday, its worldwide total had reached $1.7 billion, putting it ahead of Jurassic World and the first two Avengers movies.

There are now only four movies that have made more than Endgame at the global box office: Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Titanic, and Avatar. Endgame looks likely to surpass Titanic to become the second highest-grossing movie ever made, although whether it will be able to leap past Avatar's $2.7 billion is still an open question.

Endgame is also likely to achieve the biggest second weekend of all time, Deadline reports. That title currently held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which in its second weekend made $149 million. Avengers: Infinity War in its second weekend dropped 55 percent compared to its debut, and if Endgame performed the exact same way, it would take in $160 million, CNN reports. Endgame breaking the record would be particularly impressive considering The Force Awakens' second weekend included Christmas, one of the most popular moviegoing times of the year.

As Endgame continues this historic box office run, regardless of whether it beats Avatar, one thing is clear: audiences are continuing to love it 3,000.
