Trump seemingly forgives outgoing personal assistant for comments about his daughters
No hard feelings.
President Trump tweeted Saturday morning that all is well between him and his former personal assistant at the White House, Madeleine Westerhout.
Westerhout was fired Friday after it was revealed she once boasted to reporters that she believed she had a better relationship with the president than his daughters, Ivanka and Tiffany. She also said Trump did not like appearing in pictures with Tiffany because he perceived her to be overweight and joked that her father could not pick her out of a crowd, Politico reports. In his tweet, Trump made it clear he does love his daughter. Westerhout's comments reportedly occurred at an-off-the-record dinner and the White House blamed the press for not holding up its end of the off-the-record agreement.

As for Westerhout, she no longer has a job, but it does seem she has largely escaped Trump's wrath. The president, after all, has been known, on occasion, to turn on his former staffers when they exit the White House. Read more at Politico.
