Rudy Giuliani is convinced he's not going anywhere.
The ex-New York City mayor turned President Trump's lawyer has been a central figure as the House investigates Trump for impeachment. So central, and so downright bumbling during the whole investigation, that it's been speculated he'll be thrown under the bus as impeachment continues. But as Giuliani told The Guardian in an interview published Thursday, he has "good insurance" that could stop that from happening.
Giuliani has stumbled through pretty much every live TV appearance he's given since he joined Trump's team, butt-dialing reporters and claiming he's an impeachment hero all the while. This had led to some reported White House dissatisfaction with Giuliani's job performance, and prompted The Guardian to ask Giuliani if he was afraid Trump might "throw him under the bus." "I'm not, but I do have very, very good insurance, so if he does, all my hospital bills will be paid," Giuliani responded with a laugh. "He's joking," added Giuliani's lawyer Robert Costello, who was on the call as well.

Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney has also been seen as a Trump associate at risk of a run-in with traffic. Yet like Giuliani, he's also reportedly been telling his associates that he's safe from Trump's pink slip because he "knows too much."
