Georgia has again confirmed President Trump's election defeat, and state election officials said Monday they'll recertify the results, giving the state's 16 electoral votes to President-elect Joe Biden.
After the initially tally following November's general election, the state ordered a manual hand recount, which narrowed Biden's tight lead, but not nearly enough to flip the results. Then, the Trump campaign requested a machine recount, which was recently completed — once again, the result was unchanged, Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said at a Monday press conference.

It's unclear if and how Trump and his legal team will continue to fight the results in Georgia; over the weekend, he requested Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) to call a special legislative session during which state lawmakers could appoint new electors that would favor him, but Kemp has twice declined. Read more at The New York Times.
