Back in 2016, arch-Brexiteer Michael Gove claimed that a UK withdrawal from the EU would herald “the democratic liberation of a whole continent”. But with the Brexit deal negotiations still rumbling on more than three years later, the cabinet minister now predicts that the bloc will survive intact.
