Cryptic trailer for Homeland season three released - video
New season of Homeland is on its way, as cast and creators offer up a few hints to fans
A TRAILER for Homeland season three has finally been released, although in keeping with the character of the Emmy award-winning TV show it is somewhat cryptic. The 31-second teaser features only a black screen but a number of voices can be heard - one of which is easily identifiable as double agent Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), now on the run after he was framed for the bombing of the CIA headquarters at the end of season two.
Brody can be heard saying: "I'm almost here," as well as "I need my passport," and "I just need to get my strength back." A different voice says: "We need to know where he is."
However, during a media launch at the Television Critics Association in Beverly Hills, the cast and creators gave away a little more. According to the Daily Telegraph, one producer admitted that Brody will not appear for at least two episodes, though he would not confirm when he would re-enter the story.

Lewis, 42, who has won an Emmy for the role, explained that his character has "disappeared into a network Carrie has effected, and he's the most wanted criminal in the world, so he has to lay low. I do hope that when you do see Brody for the first time, it will be real, real interesting."
According to Claire Danes, who plays Carrie Mathison, the CIA intelligence officer in love with Brody, the season is "pretty bleak in the beginning" for her character. "She's gone off her meds," Danes said. "Carrie is always sitting on her own personal ticking bomb."
- Homeland season three will air in America on 9 September 2013 and is expected to be shown in the UK in October.
