68 percent of Americans support negotiating with Iran

That's according to a CNN poll released Tuesday in which two-thirds of respondents said they supported direct negotiations with Iran to curb Tehran's nuclear program. Meanwhile, just 29 percent of Americans said they opposed negotiating with Iran.
Also in the survey, a 49 percent plurality said a letter from GOP lawmakers warning Iran that a nuclear deal could soon unravel "went too far." Iran reportedly pressed Secretary of State John Kerry about the letter on Monday in the latest round of talks.
