The plane part found on the Indian Ocean island of Réunion has been confirmed to be a piece of the missing flight MH370, Malaysia's prime minister said Wednesday. Investigators began their study of the piece earlier Wednesday in France.

The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight 370 has been an unsolved mystery for more than a year, after it went missing on March 8, 2014 while making its way to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur. There were 239 passengers on board.
