The Democratic National Convention seems to have turned the tables in Hillary Clinton's favor — at least for now. A new poll out Monday from CBS News revealed that in the last week, the Democratic presidential nominee has moved from being tied with Donald Trump in nationwide support to being ahead of him by 7 points, 46 percent to 39 percent. Clinton's gain comes from a 4-point bump in her support, and a 3-point drop in Trump's.

The Democratic convention also seems to have provided the favorability boost Clinton had been hoping for. While just 31 percent of respondents had a favorable view of her last week, 36 percent do now.
