A soldier has been killed during a training exercise at an RAF range in Scotland, police have confirmed.
Officers were called at around 5.55pm yesterday to RAF Tain, an air weapons range near Inverness, after an incident involving multiple service members.

A force spokesman said there were no other fatalities but did not reveal how many soldiers had been injured.
He said: "Police Scotland is leading the investigation to establish the full circumstances of this incident and is working closely with the armed forces."
As authorities dealt with the incident, a cordon was set up around the base on the Dornoch Firth, in Easter Ross, reports the Glasgow Evening Times. It is used by the RAF and the Army, with a rifle range, a small arms range and bombing ranges all on site.
BBC Scotland's Craig Anderson says: "Sometimes this place has a very uneasy relationship with the local community, who obviously have some concerns about low flying.
"Clearly this is a very worrying incident for both the armed forces and local people."
A Ministry of Defence spokesman said: "We will release more information as and when it becomes available. It would be inappropriate for us to comment further at this point."
