'Elvis Presley is alive' and 11 more conspiracy theories
In a post-truth world, conspiracy theories are aplenty - here are some of the most intriguing and bizarre out there

Denver Airport
Denver International Airport in the US state of Colorado, has been an unlikely hub of conspiracy theories since it was built in 1995 – and its easy to see why.
Unlike your average airport, Denver is replete with statues and bizarre works of art, including a model of a blue horse with flaming red eyes called the Blue Mustang. In a peculiar twist, the statue killed its sculptor when it fell and severed his artery.

Even more strangely, the airport’s dedication stone appears to bear the logo of the Freemasons and mentions an unknown organisation called the “New World Airport Commission”, which some conspiracy theorists have linked to the New World Order.
Others believe the airport – which came in $2bn over budget and includes an extensive underground tunnel system – was built as a fallout shelter.
The airport has chosen to embrace the conspiracy hype. On its website, Fly Denver, there’s a tab called DEN Files which promises the “full scoop on DEN’s wildest rumours.”
Recent construction work at the airport was announced with jokes that managers are building an “illuminati headquarters.”

Emily Williams, a spokesperson for the airport, told the Denver Post: “I think we recognise that conspiracy theories are part of our brand. It’s a fun way that we can engage with our passengers.”
