The Partridge Family singer and 1970s teen heart-throb David Cassidy died on Tuesday at the age of 67.
The US pop star and actor was admitted to a Florida hospital last week with multiple organ failure. Earlier this year he revealed that he was battling dementia and planned to stop touring to “enjoy life”.
“David died surrounded by those he loved, with joy in his heart and free from the pain that had gripped him for so long. Thank you for the abundance and support you have shown him these many years,” his publicist told CNN after confirming his death.
