Prince Philip unhurt in car accident
Duke ‘conscious but very, very shocked and shaken’ after Land Rover rolls over
The Duke of Edinburgh has reportedly been involved in a car accident while driving near the Queen’s Sandringham estate.
Prince Philip, 97, appeared to have escaped the accident without injury, despite the Land Rover he was driving ending up on its side following a collision with a smaller vehicle.
The BBC reports the accident occurred as the duke was driving “out of a driveway onto the A149 shortly before 15:00 GMT”.

The duke was “helped out of the car by eyewitnesses and was reportedly conscious but very shocked and shaken”, The Guardian says.
The two female occupants of the other vehicle involved received minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Norfolk police say that both drivers involved were assessed at the scene, saying in a statement: “It is force policy to breath test drivers involved in collisions. We can confirm both drivers were breath tested and provided negative readings.”
