A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Hull University student Libby Squire.
Humberside Police said the man is being questioned by detectives, adding that: “Libby's family continue to receive support from specially trained officers and have been updated on the investigation.”

Tributes to the missing student poured in following the confirmation of her death. University of Hull vice-chancellor Professor Susan Lea said in a statement that the “close-knit” campus was “absolutely devastated”.
The philosophy undergraduate, originally from High Wycombe, was caught on CCTV footage walking alone near her student accommodation after a night out drinking in Hull.
A motorist later told police he had pulled over and spoken to Squire to offer his assistance after seeing her sitting on a bench. It was the last time she was seen alive.
Her disappearance sparked a massive manhunt involving hundreds of officers, with “specialist search advisors, underwater officers, the fire service, police dogs, local businesses and the public also involved”, says the BBC.
Born Liberty Anna Squire, she has two younger sisters and a younger brother, who live in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. In a Facebook post following the discovery of her body, her mother Lisa said: “I cannot thank you enough my darling Pie for making me a mummy.”
The Guardian says Hull University has introduced extra measures to support students and keep them safe, including organising for students to walk in groups or with security staff if requested.
