British toddler saves mother with 911 call

A British toddler is being hailed as a hero for dialing 999 after his mother collapsed from a blood clot. Riley Ward called paramedics after his 27-year-old mother, Dana Henry, passed out in their home. First responders rushed Henry to the hospital, and after she underwent emergency surgery, a doctor informed her that she would have done “very poorly” without rapid treatment. “We knew he remembered 999,” Henry said of her 2-year-old, “but were so shocked that he was able to put it into action.” Ward is believed to be the youngest person ever to successfully call U.K. emergency services.
