The daily gossip: Miley Cyrus carved some X-rated pumpkins, and more
5 top pieces of celebrity gossip — from the possible star of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2 to the inevitable Olympus Has Fallen sequel
1. Miley Cyrus carved some X-rated pumpkins
It wasn't until recently that the meaning of the phrase "just being Miley" finally became clear: Doing juvenile, vaguely controversial things in an attempt to garner headlines. Congratulations, Miley: It worked this time! On Wednesday, the pop star tweeted an image of three carved pumpkins, two of which show explicit sex acts, and one of which depicts a marijuana leaf. "Happy F---ing Halloween," added Cyrus, in a message that has never been more literal. [The Wrap]

2. Richard Gere might star in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2
Like sand in the hourglass, time's winged chariot draws near for all of us — even, as it turns out, People's Sexiest Men Alive. Deadline reports that Fox Searchlight is courting Richard Gere to star in a sequel to 2011's The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, which scored at the box office with a story about a bunch of elderly people falling in love in a hotel that was sort of exotic and far from the best. Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, and Maggie Smith are likely to return, because those are pretty much the only other septuagenarians Hollywood will cast in anything anyway. [Deadline]

Earlier this year, Olympus Has Fallen beat out White House Down in the race to become the most popular movie that's a lame knock-off of Die Hard in the White House. And that victory can only have one reward: A sequel! ScreenDaily reports that Millennium Films is producing an Olympus Has Fallen follow-up titled London Has Fallen — because 10 Downing Street Has Fallen isn't nearly as catchy. [ComingSoon.net]

4. Guy Fieri got in a fight with his hairdresser
On Saturday, Food Network star Guy Fieri got in a fight with his hairdresser while driving around San Francisco. TMZ has grainy video of the attack, which you can watch if you feel like spending 22 seconds of your life that you'll never get back. The footage isn't pretty, but Fieri's rep told TMZ that "they're all good now" — because there's no feud that can't be resolved over a big plate of deep-fried jalapeno poppers. [TMZ]

5. That Prometheus sequel nobody really wants to happen is still happening
It wasn't long after its release that Prometheus went from "most anticipated movie of 2012" to "most disappointing movie of 2012" on many critics' lists. But despite Prometheus' tepid reception, director Ridley Scott swears that a sequel is still on the horizon. "Prometheus is being written right now. Number two," said Scott this week, unintentionally channeling many fans' feelings about the idea. [Slashfilm]
