1. Snooki wants to hook her son up with Kim Kardashian's daughter
The grand conjunction is upon us. In a recent interview with E! Online, Jersey Shore alum Snooki revealed that she already has a girlfriend in mind for her 13-month-old son Lorenzo — and yes, it's exactly who you're afraid it is. When asked about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter North, Snooki replied, "I would love to do a playdate... They probably have high standards, though. They probably want her to date a prince or something." Could a North/Lorenzo/Prince George love triangle be on the horizon? [E! Online]

2. Charlie Hunnam would have earned $125,000 for Fifty Shades of Grey
Fifty Shades of Grey protagonist Christian Grey may be a billionaire, but the actor who almost played him was going to be far more modestly compensated. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charlie Hunnam, who recently dropped out of the upcoming film adaptation of the hit mommy-porn novel, was set to earn a surprisingly low $125,000 for the role (or $2,500 per shade). So maybe he really was better off jumping all the way to Fifty Shades Freed. [The Hollywood Reporter]

With a full order officially secured for the first season of ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel has officially set its sights on the long-term future of its various franchises on television — and the company has some very big plans in store. Deadline reports that the company is currently preparing a 60-episode package that will feature no less than four new TV shows and one miniseries, which has already attracted interest from Netflix, Amazon, and WGN America. It's currently unknown which of the company's hundreds of characters would feature in the TV package — so keep those fingers crossed, all you Howard the Duck fans. [Deadline]

4. Guillermo del Toro swears that Pacific Rim 2 is still happening
The relatively tepid box-office earnings won by Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim this summer left many prognosticators assuming that producers had officially decided against greenlighting the film's once-planned sequel. But in a recent interview with IGN, del Toro revealed that he and screenwriter Travis Beacham are continuing to work on the sequel — though he's not sure it will ever see the light of day. "We are writing the sequel... That is active," said del Toro. "The decision to greenlight or not, that's definitely above my pay rate." So for now, let's consider the apocalypse "indefinitely postponed" instead of "canceled." [Slashfilm]

5. Here is William Shatner's opinion of Star Wars: Episode VII
There is no reason to care about William Shatner's opinion of Star Wars: Episode VII. He has never been in a Star Wars movie. He didn't appear in either of the movies in the rebooted Star Trek franchise, which were helmed by Episode VII director J.J. Abrams. He has no insider knowledge, and his opinion means exactly as much as yours or mine. But because everyone is now legally required to comment on Star Wars: Episode VII, Entertainment Weekly managed to get him on the record. "J.J. is a terrific director, and he gives you a great ride," said Shatner. "He knows how to make the movie larger with the special effects and everything. And that's going to be wonderful." Duly noted. [Entertainment Weekly]
