1. E.L. James is the highest-earning author in the world

Say what you will about Fifty Shades of Grey, but when it comes to green, author E.L. James has the entire literary world wrapped in bondage chains. Forbes reports that James earned a whopping $95 million this year, which makes her the highest-earning author in the world by a sizable margin. Entertainment Weekly adds that the report has James towering over J.K. Rowling, who came in at number 15 with a meager $13 million — so keep your eyes peeled for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Fetishes. [Entertainment Weekly]

Ever since the final entry of the Twilight saga graced theaters last year, tween girls across the country have hoped that series creator Stephenie Meyer might eventually be persuaded to write another chapter in the series. But Twihards should probably stop holding their breath; in a recent interview with Variety, Meyer admitted to being tired of the franchise. "I am so over it," said the author. "For me, it's not a happy place to be," a sentiment enthusiastically echoed by film and literature critics the world over. [Gossip Cop]

Bad news for all 12 of you still watching Grey's Anatomy: Star Sandra Oh, who has played Cristina Yang since the series originally premiered, has officially announced that she'll leave the drama at the end of its 10th and current season. "We have to start the process, story-wise, for the Grey's writers to think of why she's going to go," said Oh in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, as if she doesn't already know they're going to give her a brain tumor or something. Late last week, it was widely reported that Low Winter Sun star Mark Strong was the frontrunner to play bald Superman villain Lex Luthor in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, to the presumptive disappointment of Billy Zane. But there's another bald AMC actor who's reportedly interested in the role: Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston. "Give me a call," said Cranston when asked if he might be interested in the role. "I like Lex Luthor. I think he's misunderstood. He's a lovable, sweet man." Cranston went on to describe his Breaking Bad character as a cuddly, kindhearted teddy bear. [Metro]
