The woman who exposed Anthony Weiner’s lewd tweets has apologized to him for the scandal that ended his congressional career, said BuzzFeed.com. Lisa Weiss went public with kinky messages she had received from the then-congressman in 2011, but posted a public message on his Facebook page this week. “Please let me apologize again for any pain I caused you,” she wrote. “I still think you are our liberal hero and we need you back in politics!” Weiss may yet get her wish, said the New York Daily News. Rumors are swirling that Weiner is eyeing a political comeback, perhaps starting with a run for the New York City public advocate job.
