The strange death of Kelvin Santos
A Brazilian boy declared dead from pneumonia came back to life just before his own funeral, asked for a glass of water, then died again. The family of 2-year-old Kelvin Santos said they thought they were witnessing a miracle when Kelvin sat up in his coffin during the open-casket viewing and said, “Daddy, can I have some water?” Seconds later, though, the toddler lay down again and could not be revived. “Dead people don’t just wake up and talk,” said his father, Antonio Santos, who accuses a hospital of mishandling his son’s illness.

A Florida shrimp-boat captain found a prosthetic leg in his nets, and managed to return it to its owner. Capt. Matt Willingham was interviewed by a local newspaper about the unusual catch, which bore the distinctive logo of the University of Kentucky. He was contacted shortly after by Fred Robinson, a UK graduate who had lost the $30,000 leg while swimming several days earlier. “I got a call, and I just started laughing,” said Robinson. “They found my leg!”
Jonah Hill gives up dieting
Roly-poly comedic actor Jonah Hill has decided to give up his weight-loss program to save his career, says the National Enquirer. The Superbad star, 28, was urged to follow a healthier diet by Brad Pitt on the set of Moneyball, and went on to shed an impressive 40 pounds. But Hill hasn’t been getting film offers, and is now “scared to death audiences won’t find him as funny,” a source says. “He decided, ‘Screw it, I’ll be who I am.’”
