Honoring Orville the cat

A Dutch man has honored his dead cat by turning him into a helicopter. Artist Bart Jansen’s beloved cat Orville died recently after being hit by a car. Jansen had the animal stuffed and attached four vertical propellers to his paws, turning him into an “Orvillecopter” that can be flown around like a remote-controlled aircraft. Jansen insists it’s a respectful way of honoring his cat, who was named after American aviation pioneer Orville Wright. “After a period of mourning,” Jansen said, “he received his propellers posthumously.”

A novel way to do business

An Ohio woman has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a house in order to clean it. Homeowner Sherry Bush says she and her husband came home and found the dishes done, the trash taken out, and a note in the kitchen requesting $75 for cleaning services. The cleaner, one Susan Warren, had left her phone number with the bill and told Bush when she called that “I do this all the time.” Almost as shocking as having her home invaded, says Bush, was the size of Warren’s bill. “It was like, whoa, $75? $15 maybe.”
