Surrendering to tyranny, after former Republican presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann capitalized on her husband’s heritage to become a dual U.S. and Swiss citizen. Switzerland, a nation in Europe, has universal health care and an individual mandate.

Bad week for:

Fake IDs, after University of Iowa student Steven J. Fiorella, 19, was charged with trying to get into a bar using a stolen driver’s license. The license belonged to the bouncer working the door.

President Obama’s chances of taking West Virginia, after prison inmate Keith Russell Judd won 40 percent of the vote in a Democratic primary there against Obama’s 60 percent. “I voted against Obama,” explained one of Judd’s supporters.

Republicans who like Cher, after the singer tweeted, “If ROMNEY gets elected I don’t know if I can breathe same air as Him & his Right Wing Racist Homophobic Women Hating Tea Bagger Masters.” She later tweeted an apology for being “a hater,’’ saying, “Sorry I let the dogs out.’’
