Dead hamster comes back to life
A British hamster has surprised his owner by coming back to life and digging his way out of a grave. Dave Eyley, 49, says he buried 4-year-old Rhino in the garden after finding him “cold and lifeless” in his cage. The next day, however, a neighbor called Eyley to say she found his hamster scurrying around the backyard. Eyley renamed his pet Jesus, after finding a two-inch-wide hole in the ground where he had laid him to rest. “He’s a plucky little soul and seems unaffected by being dead and buried,” said Eyley.

Organizers of the 2012 London Olympics have asked Keith Moon, original drummer of The Who, to perform at the Games, despite his having died in 1978. Bill Curbishley, the band’s longtime manager, said the organizers envisioned Moon playing a key role in the “Symphony of Rock” during the closing ceremonies, until Curbishley informed them of his client’s prior commitment. “I emailed back,” said Curbishley, “saying that Keith now resides in Golders Green crematorium, having lived up to The Who’s anthemic line, ‘I hope I die before I get old.’”
Man calls police on sexually demanding partner
A German man called police to complain that a woman was demanding too much sex. The unnamed man, 43, met his 47-year-old partner in a bar and went back to her apartment. After having sex “several times,” the man tried to leave, but the woman insisted he stay, declaring herself unsatisfied. “He complied with the woman’s wishes another few times,” according to a police report, “then fled to the balcony and alerted the police.” The woman then apparently “tried to talk the dispatched officers into similar activity but was unsuccessful.”
