Cat helps lost woman survive
A New Mexico woman kept herself alive by cuddling with her cat while lost for a month in a forest. Margaret Page, 41, got lost in New Mexico’s Gila National Forest in February, with little food or water. She survived by drinking from a stream and curling up at night in subfreezing temperatures in a blue sleeping bag alongside her beloved pet cat, Miya. “Her cat was in better shape than she was,” said a rescuer. Page lost 25 pounds in the ordeal, but is expected to make a full recovery.

Army commanders have told Britain’s Prince Harry to stop carousing or give up his hopes of flying an Apache helicopter in Afghanistan. The hard-partying prince just completed a tour of Commonwealth nations, including Belize, the Bahamas, and Jamaica, in which he consumed large quantities of local beer and rum, and flirted with the local beauties. His military superiors were not amused. “He’s been told that he can’t spend every spare moment down the pub,” a source told the London Telegraph. If he won’t focus on his army duties, “he won’t go to war—it’s as simple as that.” Harry has promised that he’ll be more focused in the future.
Firstfight breaks out in concert hall
Sophisticated fans of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra were surprised last week when a fistfight broke out in one of the high-priced boxes during a performance of Brahms’s Symphony No. 2. The brawl apparently erupted after a dispute about seats and tickets, and conductor Riccardo Muti earned rave reviews for how well he handled the distraction. Muti, said concertgoers, kept conducting “very gracefully, without missing a beat,” while staring at the brawlers with “dagger eyes.”
