A New York City man named Mohamed Kotbi, a former waiter at the famed Waldorf-Astoria, is suing for racial and religious discrimination, claiming hotel supervisors forced him to wear a name tag that said “Edgar.” Kotbi says that management had previously made him wear a “John” name tag, on the stated grounds that “we don’t want to scare the guests.”
