A Chicago public school has banned students from bringing lunch from home. Officials at Little Village Academy say they’re trying to protect students from their families’ unhealthy eating habits. “Nutrition-wise, it’s better for children to eat at school,” says the principal. Some students, however, are refusing the healthful cafeteria food. “This food is disgusting,” said one sixth-grader, “which is why I’m not eating lunch.”

Fashion designer Christian Louboutin is suing rival company Yves Saint Laurent for $1 million, claiming that it copied Louboutin’s distinctive red-soled women’s shoes. Louboutin says he alone can make red-soled shoes, and that the nearly identical YSL shoes in high-end Manhattan stores are causing “confusion, mistake, and deception.”
