Chicago school bans the lunchbox
A Chicago public school has banned students from bringing lunch from home. Officials at Little Village Academy say they’re trying to protect students from their families’ unhealthy eating habits. “Nutrition-wise, it’s better for children to eat at school,” says the principal. Some students, however, are refusing the healthful cafeteria food. “This food is disgusting,” said one sixth-grader, “which is why I’m not eating lunch.”
