Gossip: Billy Joel
Joel has canceled the release of his forthcoming autobiography.
Billy Joel this week canceled the release of his forthcoming autobiography, The Book of Joel. To the chagrin of his publisher, HarperCollins, the singer, 61, refused to write candidly about his failed marriages and his substance-abuse problems, said the New York Post. Pressure to add more “dish” to his manuscript led Joel to scuttle the whole project. “It took writing a book to make me realize that I’m not all that interested in talking about the past,” said Joel.
