A federal appeals court has ordered the Washington Redskins to provide captioning for all songs played during games, so as not to discriminate against deaf fans. The blaring of rock and hip-hop anthems such as “Shawty Get Loose” during breaks in the action is “part of the football game experience,” the judges ruled, “whatever the poetic merit of the lyrics and their relevance to the sport of football.”
