David Beckham’s $25 million libel lawsuit against In Touch magazine was thrown out of court this week, said RadarOnline.com. Beckham, 35, brought the suit last year after the magazine published allegations by prostitute Irma Nici, 26, that she had a series of sexual encounters with the married soccer star. U.S. District Judge Manuel Real ruled that as a public figure, Beckham had failed to prove that the magazine acted recklessly and with malice in publishing the story. A lawyer for the magazine had argued that Nici’s allegations were “entirely consistent with Beckham’s reputation as a serial philander.”
