Best websites for finding lost pets
These three sites will help you track down missing pets.
Thecenterforlostpets.com, created by a team of veterinarians, shelter managers, and other experts, links owners who have lost a pet with good neighbors who have found one. Click on “Lost or Found” and the site will help match your dog’s description with recently found pups.
Togethertag.com claims to be the country’s largest pet alert network. Besides instantly broadcasting lost pet alerts, the site helps make searches more effective by allowing owners to report a missing pet to shelters, create fliers, and alert other nearby animal owners.
Fidofinder.com requires owners to register, after which they can post classified ads, search listings, print posters, and receive an e-mail when matching dogs are registered on the site. Fido Finder also offers a “kitty-centered sibling site,” Tabbytracker.com.
