Parents Television Council protests title of new CBS show
The Parents Television Council is protesting the title of the new CBS sitcom, $#*! My Dad Says. CBS officials say they had little choice but to use symbols to suggest the scatological title of the show, which is based on a popular Twitter channel of the same (but uncensored) name. But Tim Winter of the PTC says, “CBS intentionally chose to insert an expletive into the actual name of a show,” demonstrating “its contempt for families.”

Cities in California’s Bay Area, which have banned the use of plastic shopping bags, now want to ban paper bags. San Jose City Councilman Sam Liccardo says that “the plastic-bag ordinance pushes consumers to use paper,” and paper “is as bad or worse than plastic,” and is made by “consuming trees.”
