Dale Peterson's 'ridiculously' all-American campaign ad

Witness what pundits are calling the "greatest political ad ever" — from the man who would be agricultural commissioner of Alabama

Pundits are all proclaiming it the "greatest political ad ever" in the same breath they're calling it ridiculously brilliant — and it's easy to see why. Right from its opening shot of the Constitution casually strewn with military dog tags, Dale Peterson's campaign ad for Alabama agricultural commissioner makes its pro-America sentiments thuddingly clear. "Wonderfully indulgent," says The Atlantic. This "remarkable catalog of patriotic American signifiers" is "just too good not to post," says David A. Graham at Newsweek. Only Allahpundit in Hot Air raises a voice of dissent: "It's not the greatest ad ever," he says. "If he had roped a calf or branded a steer or something," then maybe. Watch it for yourself (note how sadly the horse contemplates Peterson's rival at 00:48):
