Whitney Houston’s first concert in London in decades left fans walking out in disgust and demanding refunds, said the London Daily Mail. A disheveled-looking Houston appeared out of breath and exhausted most of the night, struggled to hit high notes, and stopped in the middle of some songs altogether. “She doesn’t want to come, my soprano friend,” the 46-year-old singer told the audience. “Sometimes the old girl sings, but not tonight.” A spokesperson for Houston—trying to revive her career after years lost to a cocaine addiction—blamed her troubles on a cold and the arena’s air conditioning.
