A Chicago woman sued a grocery store this week for injuries allegedly sustained after slipping on grapes. The woman’s lawyer, Mark Solmor, said that “produce sections are notoriously dangerous” because of such hazards as watermelon juice, stray cherry tomatoes, and most of all, grapes. “They are very stealthy, those grapes,” said Solmor. “They are small, they are round, and they roll.”

A U.S. congressman is calling on followers of every religion to acknowledge that the U.S.’s “national character” was shaped by the Ten Commandments. Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) introduced a bill that would establish the first weekend in May as “Ten Commandments Weekend,” and would encourage “citizens of all faiths and religious persuasions” to honor it.
