Bank fires teller for preventing a robbery
A Seattle bank fired a teller for foiling an attempted robbery. Jim Nicholson, 30, was at his post at Key Bank when a man demanded he fill a backpack with cash. The bank then fired him, saying employees are required to cooperate with robbers. “They tell us that we’re just supposed to comply, but my instincts kicked in,” Nicholson said. “I’m an adrenaline-junkie person.”

Baldwinsville Mayor Joe Saraceni said he cracked down because “gambling isn’t a permissible activity” at the Canton Woods Senior Center, regardless of the amount of the bet. “I don’t understand why this is an issue,” said cardplayer James Clark. “It’s ridiculous.”
