BAD DAY FOR: Bombs bursting in air, after an Independence Day fireworks display in the Democratic Republic of Congo sent terrified residents of the town Goma running for cover. The fireworks were set off to celebrate the end of Congo’s bloody civil war, which killed 5.4 million people from 1998 to 2003, and the trailing violence that was resolved in a January peace deal; Goma residents thought war had broken out again.
