Sites for "citizen journalism," monitoring the accuracy of news, and more

Orato.com is a “citizen journalism” site whose  content, from political news to “lighter fare,” is entirely user-submitted.

Moblogic.tv is CBS’ attempt to tap the mind of America. Every day, host Lindsay Campbell picks a story that’s “on the mind of Americans,” and takes to the streets to find out ordinary people’s opinions of it.

Truemors.com, a user-generated tech blog, lets anyone write postings, submit links, or send in photos and videos on subjects ranging from new iPhone applications to Barack Obama’s BlackBerry.

Factcheck.org, a “nonpartisan nonprofit” site, monitors news, ads, and online sites for accuracy. It also tries to “unspin” claims made by politicians.
