Good Day, Bad Day

Comic aspirations, in-flight A/C

GOOD DAY FOR: Comic aspirations, after Ford’s global product development head, Derrick Kuzack, belittled his company’s new Taurus sedan, comparing it to Homer Simpson. He told analysts that in a year or so Taurus would move from a dumbed-down “Homer Simpson design to a Superman design.” Ford CEO Alan Mulally also criticized the car’s design. BAD DAY FOR: In-flight A/C, as an eastern German travel agency is offering clothes-optional flights to a Baltic Sea nudist colony. The crew will remain clothed. The day trip will cost about $735 dollars. “It’s expensive, I know,” said the agency director Enrico Hess. “It’s because the plane’s very small.” (Reuters)
