Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh police this week charged two men with shooting five Duquesne University basketball players after a campus dance. Police say Brandon Baynes and William Holmes, both 19, grew angry when they saw a female friend speaking with some of the players. The pair, who don’t attend Duquesne, confronted the players, and at least one of the two started shooting with a pistol. Basketball players Sam Ashaolu, Stuard Baldonado, Kojo Mensah, Shawn James, and Aaron Jackson were wounded in the assault. The most seriously hurt, Ashaolu, was in critical condition with bullet fragments in his skull. Baynes was taken into custody; police were still seeking Holmes, who they say is armed and dangerous.
