Britain’s postal service said this week that it had found a cure for the “rampant absenteeism” among its staff. All Royal Mail employees who come to work as scheduled for six full months are entered in a drawing to win a car. Since the program began six months ago, the postal service has seen a 10 percent increase in attendance. “We have 1,000 more people every day than we would otherwise have had if nothing had changed,” said a Royal Mail spokesman.
